Service Contract Awarded from BHILAI, India for Torpedo Car Management System

Working Principle of Thermal Imaging System
CISDI Chongqing Information Technology Co., Ltd (CISDI Information) signed a contract with BHILAI Steel and Qinhuangdao Qinye Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. in May 2012 to provide system design, software programming and on-site commissioning service for BHILAT (India) torpedo car management system. The design will cover RFID system, accurate positioning system, thermal imaging system, visualized video system, hot metal level detection system and torpedo car management and control system.
The project features:
1 RFID identification technology to allow real-time tracking of torpedo car position & routing, automatic updating/tracking of hot metal & working status (e.g. empty ladle, heavy ladle and repair).
2 Use thermal imaging & image identification technology for decision making on torpedo car service and maintenance plan based on automatic analysis of relined refractory inside the ladle and corrosion at ladle mouth.
4 Accurate positioning technology tracks the torpedo car stop position at BF tap-hole and reladling station.
5 FMCW technology allows real-time detection of hot metal level and estimation of hot metal weight, which improves utilization of torpedo car.
This project is under implementation in BHILAI steel to provide overall management for torpedo car running, scheduling and maintenance, and to allow seamless data communication with relevant basic automation system, steel-making MES, iron-making MES and ERP. CISDI Information will undertake conceptual design, system integration, on-site implementation and system maintenance for the project.
